By descent in the Fortescue family to William Fortescue, 2nd Viscount
Clermont of Ravensdale Park, County Louth, Sir Henry Goodricke Bt. of Ribston,
Yorkshire, His nephew, Sir Francis Lyttleton Holyoake-Goodricke, who inherited
the Goodricke estates, and by whose widow Elizabeth bequeathed to George
Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle, Sold in the Castle Howard sale, Christie's,
18th Feb 1944, Lot 68.
